The Municipality of Madridejos condoles with the Salazar family on the passing of the former Mayor and Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Madridejos and Co-founder of the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology, Zenaida Figuracion Salazar.
She ushered the beginnings of tourism in the town by spearheading the construction of the welcome arc, planting of trees along the entrance arc, beautification of the town plaza and the conversion of the old patio cemetery to Kota Heritage Park. She was a vital part of the team that won the Gawad Kalinga Clean and Green Award for Madridejos.
